Change of plans...

I am getting used to constantly have to change plans because of illness. We went yesterday to the doctor and it turns out that Lil still has fluid in her right ear, a ruptured eardrum in her left ear, bacterial pink eye and a nice cough at night. Ergo: weekend plans cancelled. So we got antibiotics and eye drops and still have no idea what to do about the cough - any suggestions? (Sonja, I tried the Vicks, but it only worked a little.) Luckily she is doing better today. The meds seems to help.
Right now she is very busy changing her new babydoll she got from her Opa. The thing is cute how it talks, goes potty, and moves its mouth. Lil wants to throw the diaper away every time she changes the baby. On Christmas Eve she went to the fridge, got out a half-gallon of milk and wanted to fill her baby's bottle. She acted like the world was coming to an end when we tried to explain to her that the doll doesn't need milk. Lil is a really good mommy!
Schoen langsam gewoehne ich mich daran dass wir regelmaessig unsere Plaene aendern muessen weil jemand krank ist. Wir waren gestern beim Arzt und Lilly hat Fluessigkeit im rechten Ohr, ein kleines Loch im linken Ohr, eine beidseitige Augenentzuendung und einen ziemlich guten Husten. Natuerlich mussten wir unsere Plaene fuer das ganze Wochenende absagen. Jetzt haben wir Medikamente und es scheint ihr schon besser zu gehen.
Momentan ist sie sehr beschaeftigt mit ihrer neuen Puppe die sie vom Opa bekommen hat. Sie spricht, kann essen, geht auf Klo, und bewegt ihren Mund. Lilly will pausenlos die "dreckigen" Windeln in den Muell schmeissen. Am Heiligen Abend hat sie die Milch aus dem Kuehlschrank geholt und wollte unbedingt die Flasche fuer die Puppe auffuellen. Man haette glauben koennen dass die Welt zu einem Ende kommt wenn wir ihr erklaert haben dass die Puppe keine Milch braucht. Sie ist halt eine gute Puppenmama!
